A long and often almost deserted beach with a mixture of sand and pebbles. Looks very inviting on a hot summers day. Parking can be a bit of a challenge.

I go regularly to the beach three or four times a week as I take the dog for his exercise and a paddle in the sea. Excellent for all ages, plenty of parking just to sit and relax and watch the world go by

Well worth a visit. The beach is lovely, sandy and wide. The promenade now has beach huts, a new playground for children, including water play. Parking is reasonable. Plenty of fish and chips, ice cream, coffee shops and amusement arcades.

Nice beach with beautiful flat promenade to walk on all the way to Hartlepool Marina. Small playgrounds along the route for kids. Toilets approx halfway point. Parking charges reasonable.

From the furthest point of Dalkieth road, just under 2 miles by Google maps. About a 10 mins drive.

Hi there I've probably missed your visit so apologies. I have no idea what crabbing is 😱. If it involves rock pools then saltburn is the place to go.
