There is so much to see and do at this maritime experience which has recently been taken over and become a branch of the Royal Naval Museum. It's situation adjacent to Hartlepool's Marina adds to its appeal and opportunities for great photographs. As well as being able to tour all decks of wonderful HMS Trincomalee, which has been brilliantly saved... More

A brilliant place to visit. I have written more under the Trinconalee Ship review. There be hot and cold vittles to eat on site and lots to see and things for youngsters to do in the child's area. Please see more on the other review if you wish. Too much to type in again.

This museum was most interesting. The staff were very enthusiastic and friendly. The walk around visit tour was really good although scared my son a little due to some of the nature of discussion and wax models. The adults in the party really enjoyed it though. A lot of the areas were very dark anyone with a sight impediment would... More

Hello Katherine, Thank you for review. Customer experience is very important and your feedback will help NMRN Hartlepool to improve our customer satisfaction. Unfortunately some off the activities and the ships open decks are weather permitting. The electric problem that occurred was again due to the weather, water had found its way to an electric point that had to be... More

We spent an enjoyable afternoon here visiting the Trincomalee which is the oldest warship still afloat and the surrounding displays including a sound and light show covering a battle which took about 20 minutes. The Museum provides a guided tour every hour and our guide Jasmine was very informative. In the April sunshine this was a lovely visit though much... More

We visited to historical quayside to see the oldest wooden warship still afloat, The Trincomalee, the guided tour was extremely well done and very informative. We then spent a few hours visiting the museums and attractions around the dockyard and then enjoyed a meal on another ship. A very enjoyable day.

My toddler loved the ship and exploring it. Interesting to walk around and learn. The cafe is nice too.

I wasn't expecting the National Museum of the Royal Navy to be as immense as it was and neither was I expecting the amount of attractions that were on offer. Within the site is the Historic Quay which is an incredible interpretation of a quayside of 1800's with the sights and sounds from that era, and there is a fighting... More

We went for ten but it opens at 11 in winter season, no matter there was a handy shopping centre over the road in which we used to kill an hour! There is lots of different parts to this museum. We played in the climbing frame ship which was well built and good fun with lots of levels We explored... More
