Fantastic day out. Free barbecue's. Plenty to do. Kids love it. Great for dogs too. Pay to park but can get a season pass if visiting regularly

Well signposted walks on good surfaces for all abilities in well managed conifer plantations and natural woodland, although more resting places and viewpoints would improve the experience. Most tracks geared towards leisure and family cyclists who were there in large numbers - a bit of a hazard for less than alert walkers. Rather expensive entry fee for access and car-parking... More

We visited on the Saturday before Christmas to visit Santa with our grandchildren. Car parking is £4 and each Santa entry (per child) is £6. This was our 4th year to see Santa here, previously he was in a Hut (once in the forest at the end of a trail and the last few years near the entrance) with traditional... More

Although nothing technical, it's a epic challenge to get round the full loop in a respectable time. It's the best place in Yorkshire for good forest single track, it's a nice distance of around 23miles. The cafe and visitor centre is ok nothing special. Get there early and you can have the trails to yourself and not see anyone all... More

I visit here twice a week biking with friends. So lucky to have this at my front door, it's very easy to see why people travel from all over the country. Top class biking trails for people of all abilities, great cafe and shops on site too. So much on offer to do here! Fantastic all year round for the... More

For any biker into single track forest trails Dalby has to be up there with the best. The car parks are enormous so I guess that it must get very busy in summer but on a mid-week day in November the place was virtually deserted. The red route is pretty testing - the estimate of 4-5 hours for a 21... More

Dalby is great for walking, four legged or not. We spent an enjoyable day wandering round some of the designated walking routes. There is plenty of space and routes for all abilities. We ended up doing a long walk in the morning, ate lunch in the visitor centre and continued in the afternoon with another long walk.

there are plenty of routes for walking and cycling but the parking is very expensive. We would like to go more often as the forest is lovely but being more elderly can't walk that far and the cost of the parking means that it is not worth the money.

We came to Dalby forest to have a walk. The forest itself is lovely and we enjoyed a walk. We wanted to spend a few hours there so decided to have lunch in the cafe. We had visited a couple of years previously and had remembered that the cafe was nice and the food was good. We were very disappointed.... More
