One of the oldest buildings in all of Stirling. Great medieval church with connected graveyard. Church is very near the castle so easy to visit both.

wasn't able to go in, just wandered the graveyard: Old stones with blurred inscriptions. Yet some could be read: they even put cause of death or where the person was from. Great fun!

The most interesting feature of this church is that it was split into two parts, with two congregations, during the Reformation!!

Stunning Church, we could have spent all day there. Gothic style and dates back to 1100's and has served as the town's Parish since 1500's. James VI was crowned there as a baby, and John Knox preached there! It is the only Church outside of...More

This is a beautiful church with an impressive history and peaceful ambience. I have visited twice, and both times a local welcomed me and had a chat. The Church of Scotland Sunday service is engaging, and I always find a hymn which resonates with me.

There are information sheets in lots of different languages (including Albanian, I noticed - not sure if those are used much but all credit for the effort) but they are two sides of A4 and not much information in them. There is a very large...More

I visited the church with my mum while we visited the area. It's a lovely walk up the cobbled hill from the centre and there is plenty of parking around with a small fee. The church is large with plenty of information sheets in all...More
