Don’t be fooled by the title, what you can see is actually a Roman villa and bath house, and hypocaust. This is quite impressive, but the actual fort is over the fence on church land who don’t want to expose it. Worth a visit thou
We visited Binchester as my husband is interested in all things Roman. We both found it very interesting despite it being quite a small attraction.
Worth a visit but probably better when the weather is fine.
