St Catherine's island is home to a Palmerston fort and a WW2 Anti aircraft gun placement. Visitors the island are welcome. For opening times search Saint Catherine's Island on facebook it is the best place due to tides and weather.

I did enjoy visiting the island and fort and for 5 of us I didn’t mind paying £14 if it helps keep it open and expand it which they have plans to do but I was expecting more to see inside. We enjoyed the climb...More

Been following the opening of this fort for a while, from just been able to get on the island to actually getting inside to see, great history and well worth the climb to the to top get great views of Tenby.

We visited the island a few years ago when it had just opened for visitors and were looking forward to seeing more as it was renovated further so were disappointed when it closed down again. We were delighted when we came on holiday this year...More

Paid a visit yesterday.... I had heard it had reopened so couldn't resist. Hard climb from beach to the top of the rocks but the views themselves are worth it. To be honest there isn't much to see when you are up there but looking...More

Wonderful views and had a really informative talk which really brought the history of the fort to life. Really well worth a visit during your stay in Tenby. Look forward to seeing what else can be restored as more funds are raised...

It is sadly true, the owners were having huge problems getting planning permission to develop the island and obviously the local planners don't see it as it could be, I was so sad to hear about this 😕
