The rounded buiding apparently deflects the very strong winds better than a conventional square structure. Nicely laid out interior, helpful staff, and when I visited the toilets they were clean but I crashed into the full length mirror on the wall upon exiting the loos!...More

This ugly seafront centrepiece simply does nothing for Ilfracombe Victorian history nor its coastal setting, whatsoever. Ilfracombe and North Devon really must wake up to their self-appointed seaside and hospitality responsibilities. Especially the local authorities and several businesses including North Devon Theatres management, who should be ashamed of themselves. This architectural disaster needs some new blood and good management to make...More

This theatre always makes me think "all that space and opportunity wasted again" in this famously lazy town. Despite all that Ilfracombe history to choose from and the opportunity to show it all off to visitors, this theatre may as well be a Bus station....More
