A local independently-run museum with an eclectic flavour, Ilfracombe museum has eight rooms filled with treasures. We have natural history specimens from around the world and plenty to see about Ilfracombe's past. Come and experience a museum that is unique and family-friendly. Children can explore our insect, bat and spider specimens, have a go at a dinosaur quiz, or send Morse code messages. Try your hand at brass rubbing, or browse our great value gift shop. We also have extensive photographic and family history resources for Ilfracombe. Our museum is a perfect all-weather attraction and can be easily accessed by wheelchair. Pay parking in car park outside the museum. Children under 16 FREE, £5 for adults, £4.00 concessions. Annual season ticket £7.50

This is a "quirky" museum and not as you might expect. It has an amazing array of different things to see and lok at. A must to visit.

Absolutely marvellous little place filled to the brim with interesting finds. There are things there from local history to antiquities collected from all over the world. Thoroughly interesting and would suit anyone from singles to families. Children would love the draws filled with wonderful finds....More

Visited the museum today - it's a great little museum with information about the local area, maritime history, Lundy island and much more. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

What a delightful museum, that focuses on the local area. A room of wonders where every draw has a surprise, the wedding cake was particularly interesting.

An interesting place with loads to see. Lots of information and something to interest everyone. Look out for the drawers full of bugs, moths, butterflies etc.
