we are party savy travellers and usually can find our way around when travelling. I must say finding locations in South Africa is very difficult and can be mucky improved by the government and local attractions. They are not known for their communication on directions and lack in signage! But when you do arrive you will not be disappointed. We... More

It is a very well organised park, where you can take a ride in a bus with the group, zatch the feeding time of the lions or alternatively, you can travel with your car. I had the chance to take wonderful photographs, watch the cubs and the family together for hours. I recommend this park.

This is my second visit to this place and am still loving it. I had to take the wife and a couple of friends from overseas to this place. We took the guided day tour just around the time of Lion feeding time (12 pm) and we had a good view of the Lions. The tour guide was a very... More

Hi if you are interested in a day out with family I can recommend the Lion Park in Lanseria. I am not a person who enjoys animals in captivity but this was a true wonderful day. I have never seen and heard so many lions roaring in my life. What beautiful animals and they are well kept. The Park has... More

We went twice in the last month and enjoyed it both times. The new photographers area is a great idea. The animals appear to be well cared for, well worth the visit.

You get to touch the cubs. It was such an exciting experience. The place was well maintained and the animals looked so health. The tour around the place in the transport provided by the park was awesome. The guide was so knowledgeable and explained about the animals with such a fascination. The lion which acted in White Lion is in... More

Enjoyed a really good close up of the white lions during the feeding time. The lions came as close as out car doors and sat next to the car. The cub interaction was also fun and I'm glad that it is well controlled by the keepers on duty. The food was also delicious and being a Muslim they also offer... More

We really got to get up close to baby lions because they have a petting zoo. I loved that! They also have some pretty sassy meerkats. The white lions were very wonderful and it was nice to see them up close. If you want an authentic safari experience, don't visit this park. Go on a real safari. If you want... More

I have had several experiences of interactions with cheetahs and lions but this one continues to be the top on the list! Nothing sophisticated or too complicated...just you going in to closely interact and play with a few cubs that could be in the mood, not at all up to it or simply grumpy...but you get your chance and either... This time we came to South Africa for vacation with our 5 and 1 y.o kids for them to see the real nature and of cause have a chance to interact with animals. The Lion Park is on top of the list to visit and we spent a memorable half day playing with lion cubs, feeding a giraffe and laughing... More
