As long as you accept this is effectively a zoo but a very good one then your expectations will be well managed. It's very well laid out, and it's perfectly safe and easy to self drive with the ability to get close to fully grown lions, (feeding time 12:00 on a Sunday) ad well as get in the enclosure and... Great chance to get up close to lion cubs, they were around 9-10 months old the younger ones we were able to get photos of but to protect them form infections they were kept in a nursery. We took a guided drive and got close to a number of loins who were in the normal lazy mood that captive lions... More

My family and I visited the Lion Park on a whim one Saturday in June of this year. It was a fantastic experience, worth every cent! The knowledge of our guide was vast and he had a sense of humour second to none! In addition to his vast knowledge, the animals were up and about and put on an impressive... More

Great way to see the animals up close. About 30 minutes drive from Jo'Berg. We went on a self drive excursion - saw zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, ostrich, hyenas, giraffes etc. costs ZAR 200 in case you want to interact with the cubs (pet them for a few minutes). Irrespective if whether you chose to interact or not - the... More

An awesome outing for the whole family, and very close to Johannesburg, guaranteed sightings. The family and petting area has a whole range of animals to view, and the highlight is feeding the giraffe. Definitely worth a trip.

We went on the self-drive option with our granddaughter. We had a wonderful time. The interaction with the lion cubs was awesome! This outing highly recommended. And within close proximity of Johannesburg.

This was the second visit to the lion park . On both instances we went for the self drive excursion . On this occasion we were there at feeding time . Excellent experience !!!!! You are just more than an arms length from the King & his harem . It's a pity that they don't allow more time to interact... More

Visted as part of a family and was amazed by the great wildlife within such close proximity of the City. The self-drive, which we did, was super good and we were able to see fantastic Lions and Cheetahs, giraffes and other animals. Upon getting back to the main area we then went to play with the little lion cubs. They... More
