A lovely house with gardens to explore with a little church. The main house had a fire but you can explore it, then you can see where the family moved into one of the wings to live after the fire.

Enjoyed some time hear with two children following the Bat Trail. Not only were there bats to find in the trees each one had an answer to a quiz which was very informative. Baby bats are called cubs. The spooky cemetery was scary but enjoyable climax.

We took our 3 young grandchildren here for a day out over the half term, what a popular place. It was heaving and we were here for 4 hours in total, enjoying lunch in the cafe and the kids loved it. There is loads of...More

Had a lovely afternoon here. Fascinating history. Gardens were lovely. Coffee shop was one of the nicest we've been too although pricey.

Easy parking, small gift shop with some plants for sale..the house is an empty shell but lots of interesting features and renovations on going. The gardens are pretty - not massively stunning but pleasant enough. Sad to say for me the highlight of the visit...More

This is a fantastic Vanburgh designed building set in wonderful grounds with delightful gardens. From the Central Hall almost destroyed by fire in 1822, to the West Wing that was the home of Lord Hastings until his death in 2007 to the luxurious stables it...More

The house is interesting, but essentially a shell with not a great deal inside. The guides were excellent and their free guides were excellent and made the visit worthwhile. The Gardens have had a lot work done by volunteers and the result is excellent.

I would say the same. Alternatively there maybe a number you can ring if you go onto their eb page. I've recently watched The Landmark trust programme and think it should be restored.
