We always visit this glen whilst on the island and have seen it in several seasons, each time it's beautiful. In our opinion it's one of the prettiest glens of the island. Our most recent visit was on a rather gloomy midweek January afternoon and we didn't see another sole - it was idyllic! We were able to give our... More

A pleasant Glen leading down to the beach, nice for a short walk with the dog. In spring the smell of wild garlic is very powerful and the Glen is at its most beautiful. Nice for taking pictures or paddling as the water is so clear (but cold!) Takes about 10 minutes to drive here from Peel.

We had a good time in family with the kids. Beautiful views ending at the seaside. A place to visit if you are a nature lover!

I say a lucky find for it was, is, very adjacent to the self catering accommodation that my friend and I stopped in for the week which I can thoroughly recommend, Waterfall Barn. Glenl Maye. has a wonderful tumbling river running down to the adjacent beach, about 20 minutes from the top of the Glen. The river cascades down all... More

The Glen Maye goes down hill to the sea, walk amongst the trees and follow the little river downhill where it eventually meets the Irish Sea at the beach. Popular with walkers and dog walkers lovely walk but can be muddy if wet so make sure you have right footwear. tranquil

Nice fairly easy walk to waterfall. Bit slippy in places. Carry on down to beach for a nice walk. Parking at top (free). Shame pub is closed at top.

Perfect for a stroll alongside the meandering glen. The path is clear (though a little muddy in places) and leads out to the pebble beach at the shore. We enjoyed our lunch sat amongst the rocks.

Nice shady walk on a hot afternoon. Keep going until you hit the pebble beach, well worth the effort. Pity the hotel at the head of the glen is now shut down, would have been nice to have a cool drink on returning to the top. Bring your own drinks. Washroom at the glen very clean.

Probably the presence of the waterfall, and the double level walks by the glen, make this one of the best location to enjoy the Manx landscapes. After the coastal walk from Peel, I should recommend a kayak ride till Niabyl, but only if you are a keen kayaker and you are well equipped for the ride (please take care to... More
