I'm not even sure we saw half of what this great place has to offer and we still had a good time. We walked through the old buildings and visited some of the small farm settings related to the Ulster Folk part of the museum. The demonstration on the art of basket weaving was captivating. The staff were friendly and... More

We went on St Patrick's Day. Great day out - lots to see and learn. lots of different craft demonstrations, food to sample in the cottages, children's activities, informative staff, Irish Dancing. Stopped for lunch in the TEA ROOM - usually we bring a picnic but the weather was bad. Ordered our food but there were no tables for us... More

This was a great day out with my 5 yr old daughter bouncing from one display to another and with the celebration of world women's day there was plenty of activities to partake of. Staff were very helpful and make the experience more real

We didn't get the time to look around the Folk part of the Museum. Hope to do that next time. Loved the Transport part. Very interesting and the grandchildren loved it too. This is a place you could keep coming back to time after time. However I would just like to say that visiting the tea room was not inspiring... More

This is really like two excellent museums: the Transport Museum with a vast array of vehicles, mainly automobiles, but also trains, trolleys, buses, etc. AND a Folk Museum with many old structures that have been relocated here. Very helpful guides on site.

Visited here last week and found it very interesting. Think we preferred the Transport museum but the Folk museum was really very good as well. It was extremely quiet when we were there and think it would have been better with more people around- but it was through the week when we visited and the weekend. Also the weather was... More

Sunday 12th of February mustve been the coldest this year but we braved the elements and enjoyed the visit very much. We were glad to get our hot chocolate in the cafe. Houses with fires were most welcome. We managed to stay 2 and a half hours.

Went just to the transport bit as my children are a bit small for the folk part. They loved it. Loads of trains, buses, cars etc. Was running about all day with a smile on his face. Well worth a visit. Think next time we will take the train up for added fun.
