I couldn't believe this when I saw it. it's huge and quite spectacular. What a brilliant face it is in a good place in Wigan.

The face has become a bit of an icon in Wigan and is sat just off the main street on The Wiend just near Believe Square. The face is often painted for various events about Wigan...most recently it was for Wigan Pride.

Not sure of the relevance of this statue and to be honest I prefer the adjoining statue of Billy Boston a person worthy of a statue.

In this time of austerity and the council pleading poverty, Which clown ordered this monstrosity. Mend the roads. Improve adult services.

Clearly Wigan Council have no idea what the people of Wigan would want, or relate to, when it comes to the commissioning a piece of modern art. It stands in a what can only be described as "In the way", for anyone wishing to enter...More
