We went to the Gala to see Cara Dillon. The view from the circle was great. The auditorium isn’t huge and the acoustics were spot on. There is a multi storey car park under the venue with plenty of bars in the immediate vicinity.

A cracking little theatre in the centre of Durham. Great views from all seats, very comfortable, wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable bar prices are an added bonus, not the rip off levels of some other theatres. An excellent performance by Mark Thomas made for...More

We’d never visited this theatre before and were impressed on our first visit. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was good and not expensive. The only downside were the toilets which were far too small to cope with the size of the audience and...More

This was first time in the cinema in the Gala. Had to go down stairs and kept going down and was like going into the cellar;-) Seats very comfortable and screen not too far away. Enjoyed experience and be back.

As far as I can see, there is nothing on at the theatre, at the moment. There may be something on at their cinema but the listings aren't up yet. Best advice is to keep checking on their website, for up to date events.
