Winner of the Legacy award ,Best Family Business 2017, Gold award for best attraction in the South-west 2012, Exmoor Zoo has become an ideal family day out. The zoo has established a good rapport with the North Devon community and offers a very hand on experience for all its visitors.Activities run throughout the day (every half hour in summer), you get to meet a bird eating spider, hold a snake, feed wallabies (under supervision), meet some of the zoos friendly furry animals and of course go to all the talks and feeding sessions (if you can)!Home to the “Exmoor Beast” (a pair of black leopards), Puma, Cheetah, Maned wolves, monkeys and lots of other unusual animals like Tamandua, Fishing cats, Tapir, Singing dogs and Binturong to just name a few! The zoo is a living place with changes all the time; no visit is ever quite the same.Useful information:• Disabled access (wheelchair provision and scooter hire)• Activities through out the day• Cafeteria• Children’s playground• Undercover picnic areas• Zoo trail.

My two daughters loved this zoo. Small and sweet and easy to get around. Plenty of petting and talk options and much less busy than other zoos. We would visit again.

We enjoy visiting Exmoor Zoo while on holiday in Devon. This visit was very enjoyable and our daughters loved looking at all of the animals. The animals always seem to be well looked after and the Zoo is clean and tidy. Rob Scott

Fantastic zoo with lots of animals we hadn't seen before. We spent five hours here and still didn't get to see everything - really can't understand how other reviewers have managed to do it all in an hour and a half and found it boring....More

We've been on holiday in Holcombe Rogus and decided to visit the zoo which is about a 55 minute drive away. So glad we did, it has some more unusual animals that you don't see in the big, more commercial zoos. Great play area for...More

Well laid out zoo containing some traditional zoo animals along with a large number of rarely seen exhibits within quite a compact area. Really liked the cats. Although set over a reasonably flat area, the zoo has a number of electrically powered scooters available for...More
