I great place to visit. Historically very interesting, great for kids, spooky, good cafe, great view - and it's run by the community

Plenty of exhibits and well laid out. We enjoyed our visit and considered it well worth-while. Only downside was that when we went they were only open on Sundays and the place was full of screaming children. It is good that children should see such a place, just a pity that their parents are reluctant to exercise any sort of... More

Visited on the off chance what a great place, so interesting and didn't realise it was so big! Well worth the entrance fee of £8 worth visiting

There is something for all ages here. My 2 grandaughters, age 9 and 3, loved it, as did we. We bought a family annual pass so we can go as often as we wish. The cafe serves good light meals. There is also good wheelchair access to most parts of the fort. The staff, who are volunteers, are extremely knowledgeable... More

Well worth the climb up to walk through the trees to the fort on the headland. Lots of benches to sit and admire the views

It's very interesting to see the history of this place. There isn't a great deal to do there though so I wouldn't recommend a day out there but there is plenty of walks to do around there. Definitely recommend for big war fans

luckily we arrived on a warm February day, sunshine always helps. Site was well maintained and staff helpful. Ticket price includes return visits .Certainly worth a look and should easily fill a minimum of half a day. I have been before years ago and it lived up to my recollections' was surprised at the "nuclear bunker" area not having seen... More

Went with my mother and two boys aged 9 and 6, they have a mouse trail that is free for the children to look around and at the end of the visit the children say how many they found (no wrong answer that I love ) and get a certificate, the children menu is cheap. You can visit as many... More
