we went to the gardens on Sunday 24/04/17 we were charged nearly £10 per person, we thought was very overpriced for this time of year as none of the flowers/lilies or anything was out so was very disheartened and thought we should at least have been charged half price, I can only imagine that when the gardens are out in... We went here in April and didn't expect to see all the lilies etc but for £8 per adult and taking less than an hour to walk around with a six year old I think that a lower price should be in place for this time of year. I'm not even sure if it's great value in summer as other... More

Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear you feel the entry fee expensive, we carry out comparison research each year against similar attractions and feel our prices are fair. In addition to this as a privately funded business we rely heavily on the admissions income not just for developing the gardens, but to cover the cost of... More

We stood in a cottage near by and decided to see the Water Gardens - what a stunning place. So many different water lilies nicely arranged over many ponds. The bridge over one pond is surely the highlight. A MUST see when your are in the area. Note: There is a nice pick nick spot in the park too.

These water gardens are stunning and are easy to find at Chickerell, just two miles outside Weymouth. They are not heavily advertised, so could be considered to be a hidden gem. The reconstitution of Monet;s painting is excellent, without the crowds you will get in France. They have some 150 different types of water lily. A must visit site.

Food reasonable but excessive. Very clean and friendly, but don't expect any bargains. It would be better if free access to water Lilly lakes was included in your drink ...food etc

Be prepared for walking on soggy grass ! but its worth it, lots of individual ponds full of different coulour water lilies. DSucks seemed to have their home there as well. Therees a cafe and a gift shop. All quite low key.

Visited this garden during our recent trip to Weymouth. You would think we were artists, staying at Rembrandt Hotel and now visiting this image of Monet. The gardens were converted from clay diggings for brickworks in the 1950s to grow water lilies commercially, original plants coming from France - hence the Monet connection. Much work has been done over the... More

We spent a very relaxing morning walking around the lakes and sitting and looking at dragon flies and people. Not suitable for young children because of the deep water.
