I walked through here while wandering about Beverley; it is a lovely looking piece of historic architecture but that is about it.

Lovely gateway into Beverley. Built in 1409 and the last one still standing. Located close to St Mary's but you can only view from the outside. Worth walking through the small tunnel at the side so you can view both sides.

Walked through this several times whilst recently visiting Beverley, interesting history, of course traffic passes through so cannot stand for too long taking photos.

We walked through here last night, the North Bar is the last remnant of the towns fortifications and was constructed in 1409. Definitely worth a look.

The one remaining Bar certainly is interesting to look at and still has traffic passing through it. The road immediately outside the bar is called "North Bar Without" and the road inside is "North Bar Within", (well it had to be didn't it?).

North Bar is a prominent historical feature that you pass under as you head north out of Beverley centre.

I recall going through here as a kid while riding a specially shaped bus, designed to fit the arch of the bar. These buses no longer operate but it is still possible to drive your car through there - just make sure you're not in...More

I walk up and down North Bar Within regularly, but never thought to review the North Bar as an attraction. Yes, its interesting as a bit of history and I guess its intesting to see if you're into old architecture, but apart from taking a...More
