Wow!!! Previous reviews really hit the nail on the head. This absolutely stunning architectural marvel has to be seen to be believed. We made a special trip from West Sussex just to behold this. The experience left me awed and wonderstruck. For a while afterwards, I was speechless. It’s definitely a tale to tell my grandchildren (when I become a grandad).
My advice to anybody who is undecided about making the pilgrimage here, is to #justdoit. You won’t regret it for a single moment.
We also decided to stay a little longer and enjoy the views of Bude GCHQ.
Wonders never cease, it seems.

We actually accidentally stumbled across this attraction when we were looking for Sainsburys, however found ourselves in the newly opened Bude tunnel visitor centre. The staff were knowledgable and we decided to purchase the self guided tour with an audio guide and wow were we blown away. This was by far our greatest day out in and around Bude, please allow 3-4 hours to truly get the most out of this. You will not be disappointed!

Great to see this amazing site whilst you still can! We had a wonderful time looking at this iconic plastic structure and took many photos from different angles.

Got free parking with the tunnel! Total bargain!
The tunnel is just the start of the fun, this led onto the sheer brilliance of Sainsburys.
Highly recommended.

We allowed an hour to visit this unique attraction which in retrospect was not quite enough time to fully appreciate the magnitude of this post-modern structure. I definitely think this is a contender for the prestigious title ‘Eighth wonder of the modern world’. Get there early if you want to avoid the crowds. I particularly like the new ‘air conditioning’ they have introduced by removing some of the plexiglass panels - great for the hot weather. We managed to take a few photos that were completely free of tourists which we will treasure forever. As far as I know the tunnel is not currently credited with a ‘building of national importance’ accolade or at least grade two listing which I feel is an oversight by the local authority. Let’s petition to protect this amazing tunnel for future generations to enjoy.

As an avid traveller it’s safe to say that whilst each new adventure brings beauty in its own way, few things are unique to the point that they leave you speechless. The Bude Tunnel did just that. Like Stonehenge, it’s difficult to pinpoint it’s origins, but it’s legacy is awe inspiring. Quite simply, a must.

I lie here in my Airbnb, muscles tense, breathless, throat sore from sobbing, and eager to do it all again tomorrow.

The Bude Tunnel has clearly done wonders for the local economy and infrastructure as a bustling attraction. Be warned, queues entering the town can extend several miles on the weekends.

I’ll never forget seeing the sheer joy and childlike curiosity in the faces of tourists and residents alike. To live in this town must be a gift, it’s a place I dream of settling down in.

If you ever find yourself in the South of England, ensure to make the time and visit this World heritage destination. I particularly recommend the guided tours, which can be purchased within the Sainsburys recently constructed next to the tunnels car park (just adjacent to the tunnel gift shop). The price is steep at £15, but rightfully so to hear the full history of this wonder. Just go.
