Very clean, whilst busy, with limited parking this restricts. Good options for food with noisy lobster for bacon rolls, the haven inn for a pint. Great for long walks and dog rules means they can run on the beach in places. And we also managed to catch a crab!!

Came to enjoy one of the last hot days of the summer. Crowded and lots of tiny children enjoying the sand and sea. However the day was ruined inconsiderate rude people turning their music on as loud as they could. It was coming at us from both sides. We could hear it above the wind and the waves. Then 2 girls on the one side decided to do X Factor in middle of beach joined by the girls on the other side singing in competition. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they could sing. Avon Beach used to be one of the most beautiful places ever until the restaurant Noisy Lobster opened and then gradually changed the shop, opened a fish and chip bar in a hatch in the wall plus a coffee and lite bites shack. Since then more and more people have frequented the beach gradually turning it into another crowded noisy place where I don’t want to be. Another spoiled place. My advice is to avoid it.

The beach is a good place to go, this beach has a dog area and the food is delicious, my only problem is that The car park is expensive and there are a lot of sandworms

Classic south coast beach with good facilities and superb views across to the Isle of Wight and The Needles as well as across to Bournemouth. Car park was very expensive as other visitors have noted and fees still payable into the evening. Great beach also for swimming but watch out for strong currents at certain times.

Had a lovely early evening meal on Saturday, seafood is always delicious and great gluten free options . Our waitress Aaliyah was super friendly and attentive in just the right measure .

Having been visiting Avon beach from a young kid. Avon beach seems to of become very over priced and not family friendly.
Beach huts to hire used to cost £25 for the day are now £150 ( just why?)
The food hut always has a queue even after the refit and the new restaurant is not worth the price either.

Bcp need to sort this mess out asap

Very poor

As an all year swimmer this is Lovely beach with lovely walks for walking either way along the coast. The car park is ridiculously expensive though.
The Noisy Lobster also has the monopoly of eating and drinking. A high Coffee cabin with choices of hot drinks and pastries and the restaurant is of course the perfect location on the beach. But this also comes with extortionate prices. It’s Such a shame it smears the experience

This long beach is served by a number of car parks and is a beautiful place to visit for a walk, a sit to watch the world go by or to treat yourself to a coffee or snack or a meal from the eateries on offer just behind the walkway.

Great location, you can walk round from here to the quay (a short stroll) and catch a ferry across to Hengisbury Head at a nominal price. We enjoyed a beach day and gorgeous food in the adjoining restaurant and would visit again. The only downside is you need to get down early as parking is limited.
