I was living next to it and all the time I passed by it was closed, until one day, this is a fantastic place to take the kids, really enjoyed it!

I consulted the Christchurch (Dorset) Tourist Information Office and they told me that the Museum of Electricity definitely closed in 2012, and will not be reopening. I am therefore at a loss to understand the review from Hilda A (of Newport, Isle of Wight) saying...More

Great little museum, big tram downstairs and loads to see , I used to bring my school children here when I worked in nearby Bournemouth , but its good for all ages. Ideal for oldies tripping down memory lane as well.

Not sure how anyone was able to revue this as it was closed in 2012. Road sign still in place, but venue does not display any opening times or any other information at all. A wasted journey!

More people need to visit, very helpful staff willing to explain and demonstrate principles. Great learning and some nice exhibits, great for the town

A real walk back in time , you have to go yourself as I wouldn't want to spoil things but makes you think how we all got where we are today

Housed in an old electricity building lovingly managed by volunteers. Amazing selection of old household appliances plus demonstrations of how electricity works for the children.

It was okay, however the demonstration upstairs in the science room on the day we went there was a man who did not like children. Although he is a volunteer he was unprofessional but the rest of the staff were great. He ruined the day...More
