So secret in fact that we we couldn't find it. We asked the wss but the route we were advised to take was blocked by a wide passage of water. Needs a bit more signage

An interesting hidden gem: Have a little walk and find the bridge. Then, because there's no sign there, read the wikipedia article about it.

You can enjoy beautiful views on this lovely walk at Stanpit Marsh, and walk on the historic Bailey Bridge. Lots of wildlife to see, as Stanpit Marsh is a bird sanctuary, including many different types of birds, swans and ducks. Wonderful views over Mudeford Quay...More

Bailey bridges were manufactured in Christchurch and were used by the armed forces for crossing rivers etc in the second world war and more recent wars. This is a prototype but still going strong.
