An area to the West of Gloucester made up of a large forested area with villages scattered among the trees. Through the of rest flows the river Wye with a winding easiness. A great place to walk or cycle on the many tracks and footpaths.

Beautiful place. Lovely long walks in the woods which look stunning at this time of year. Great for mountain biking. Some great pubs to relax in after a long day. I’d recommend the sculpture trail.

It's just the best place to live. Every activity is catered for. Your far enough away from the crowds but close enough if you want to be. Every seadon is special. There are so many hidden gems, if you just open your eyes and look.

The forest itself was beautiful with the trees just turning to a million autumn colours. The main comment we had was that, while walking along the forest trials with our two dogs, we were constantly having to pull them to the side to allow the...More

The Sculpture trail, at Beechenhurst, is a great walk for kids. It's quite long, but there are short cuts back to the lodge if the children get tired. A map/guide can be bought from the café. Or RSPB Nagshead at Parkend... More
