Lovely walks either side of the estuary. Beautiful setting. Many holiday cottages overlook the estuary and there are some lovely restaurants and cafes.

This was is a lovely estuary town with great eateries, nearby sandy beach and tower (Readymoney beach). Great day out. Nearby clay mine worth a visit to a unique location.

Car park is easy to find, steep downhill walk to the riverside town, you can take a bus that runs frequently. Lots of art galleries, independent shops, cafes & pubs. This pretty town is a must to visit in Cornwall, even on a grey day it's a cheerful place. Ferries cross the estuary during the day and there is plenty... More

Parked in the public car park which in effect is at the top of the hill giving wonderful panoramic views of Fowey and the estuary. This necessitated a walk down the steep slope to the harbour. The most direct route is walking down the steps which are rather steep but you can follow the streets which offers a gentler gradient.... More

A beautiful Estuary with fantastic views all along the harbour. Looks good from both sides of the river with an array of boats in the harbour

The Fowey River has a history dating back to the times of the Ancients, when Mediterranean traders did business with iron (and copper, silver, tin et al) age Cornishmen. This is a very quaint fishing village set in a beautifully scenic estuary. There are some great places to eat, drink and shop. Good parking which is accessible by a mini bus.
