This bridge is a beautiful creation. Good to look at, but also able to adjust to allow the passage of river craft if necessary. I love walking down by the river next to the bridge. On a Sunday, there is often a market there.

This is the symbol of Newcastle. You must visit there. It looks nice and you can walk across it.

Visited Newcastle quayside to see the millennium bridge. I was lucky to see the bridge open so cleaver watching the bridge open its like blinking your eye. If you visit the bridge on the night time the bridge lights keep changing along its structure it's a must to see.

This bridge has grown to be another iconic bridge over the Tyne joining an illustrious group. Looking over the river from outside the Pitcher and Piano to see the Millennium bridge with the beautiful Sage and Baltic buildings behind makes you feel so good and when the bridge moves up to let tall ships pass under is just like being... Fantastic structure fun for all the family lots of attractions round about location. It's something not requiring much time to see and a stone's throw from Newcastle city centre so lots to do

The bridge looks lovely and takes a great picture.... BUT it's far too cold and windy. Was very scary. My bird had a runny nose by the time we got off. And we were nearly killed by a cyclist.

Even in winter you will always enjoy visiting millennium bridge and walk around in a chilled weather or even cycle to enjoy the amazing shape and tilting method that looks like a blinking eye. You must go and visit when you are around in New Castle specially in summer time

Gateshead Millenium Bridge is a great tilting foot bridge to walk over. To be able to stand or sit without any hassle and just take in the views of the Tyne bridge, Swing bridge, High Level bridge and Metro bridge all probably within a distance of 600 yards of each other. Amazing!!! Great at night when it''s all lit up,... More

This bridge can only be used by pedestrians and cyclists and there are separate sections for them so there are no crashes. In the Quayside area this will take you from the trendy eateries in Newcastle to the Baltic in Gateshead. Unfortunately I did not get to see it lift but I imagine that would be quite cool.
