Shopping

I come here lately at least once a week. Said to see so many shops closing. On the plus side I do enjoy a wander in house of Fraser. And Debenhams.

My daughter and I took my four year granddaughter to spend her Christmas money. Fortunately it wasn't too packed, so we had a really pleasant afternoon shopping.plenty of shops to choose from. And lunch at one of the few McDonald's. (granddaughters choice) which I have to admit, made a nice change.

On every visit to Newcastle we always manage a trip to the Metro Centre. Everything under one roof. FREE parking, which is great. It's just too hot inside with no ventilation!

This is more than a shopping centre. There is cinema, Namco fun centre as well as large selection of restaurants, fast food places and cafes. The place is big with lots of shopping choices from pound land to next. Debenhams, Primark, Lego shop, build a bear workshop and so on. Really is something for everyone. Easy access using public transports... More

Inside this mall there is pretty much every shop you could think of can get very busy at weekends and near christmas. Good amount of car parking spaces around each side of the mall. There are lots of restaurants to choose from and also a great cinema.

Best place to go to get your clothes from as there are many different shops. There is many parking spaces but can get very busy especially near Christmas time so may have to be patient to get a parking space. I would also recommend going to one of many restaurants that are here.

MetroCentre Gateshead is a must place to visit. It's got two levels and over two hundred plus different shops, restaurants, cafe's, Odeon cinema etc all under cover. Newcastle city centre is just across the river and a great place to shop etc, but not easy to park as car parks are quite expensive that is why the MetroCentre is much... More

Thank goodness for the metrocentre! It's the only place you can really shop when you work full-time. It was a god send when shopping for Christmas. Its lovely, clean and airy and i find it not that busy -with the exception of shopping during peak times just before or after Christmas, I've always found parking very easy. Only wish it... More

Review refers to Waterstones Cafe - not the Metro Centre. We called here for lunch as we love browsing in the book section of this store. Tables were strewn with used crockery, staff totally inadequate for the amount of lunch time visitors. Waited far too long for our choice to arrive at the table and when it did, it was... More
