Great stopover place on the A1. It's very impressive but the facilities were pretty basic. They should seriously consider turing it into a mini service station where people can relax, eat or even have a pint. Wouldn't go all the way just to see it...More

I saw this on a sunny day. It's very impressive. True, there is nothing else around but it is worth seeing. There are no toilet facilities; however there was an ice cream van and also a snack/coffee wagon by the car park on the day...More

Worth a visit to see it. Great on a Sunday hot day so you can have a picnic. Can get very busy though.

Seeing it from afar it's impressive but standing under it is immense! A fantastic structure welcoming you to the area with Brilliant photo opportunities all around There isn't anything else there as it's a Focal point more than anything else but worth a quick picture...More

Stop off on the way from Nottingham to Seahouses, very impressive to see in person, one drawback there are no toilet facilities.

She is a beauty. Parking is free. Easy to get to. Accessible by wheelchair too. No facilities here- not necessary anyway.

A lovely park for a walk and fantastic to come up and close to the angel of the north. It is so beautiful and it is a must see if your in Newcastle. Absolutely breathtaking to see!

A brilliant place to see once you find it. Sat Nav comes in handy. There is an information board that tells you all about it, which is well worth reading as the facts are surprising and amazing. Stunning in real life.

I've seen the Angel many times over the years from the A1. At first I hated it, likening it to a ditched airplane, but I have come to like this sculpture over the years, so it was about time I got to see it up...More

Hi, the Angel is on the A167 Durham Road just before it joins the A1. There are loads of buses that use this road as a southern route out of the Newcastle/Gateshead conurbation. I don't use that many buses so can't... More

The sculpture is designed to capture our imaginations so it's not identifiable as male or female, you see the form as you want to see it whether that's male or female. Either way the angel is stunning and you will enjoy a... More
