If you go travelling with tour (from travel company); this destination still not in their itirenary, so if you go travel alone to this spot and taking picture with the angel as your background, it makes somehow, a priviledge feeling on your own. But this...More

It’s always good bringing visitors here. Not that there is much to see as it is basically a statue and nothing else. People seem to love taking pictures of the statue and keep it as a reminder that they have been up North. Likewise, I...More

This place is beautiful. Very good on hot day. Ice cream/food van parked there. Plenty parking. Playing field, woods and picnic area. Well kept, no litter and the angel monument is awesone. Well worth a visit for a couples of hours.

A must see attraction for all visitors to the North East, Andrew Gormley's Angel of the North as come to symbolise the strength and character of the region. Up close you can't help but marvel at it's sheer size and bulk. Drop down the hill...More

You can see this from the A1 but you must drive round and park up to see it in all its glory. It is spectacular when you see it close up and there are details of how it was built.

Love his work spent many happy hours on Crosby beach - so finally got to see the Angel and wasn't disappointed. Could sit and look at the angel for ages. If you are in the area don't drive past.

We used a bus from Gateshead to get to the Angel of the North cost us each about £3.50 return. Great views and a must see if visiting the area.

Beautiful place for anyone visiting Newcastle and an amazing place to relax. Just the sheer size of it is a jaw dropper, you never really take in its size until you're stood right underneath its wing. Plenty grass around the area for the pooches, a...More

I’ve been to Newcastle & Gateshead a few times but never had time to visit the Angel until now. It was worth the wait and easy to get to via public transport. We jumped a bus from the city and you can’t miss where to...More
