Have passed the sign for this mill many times on our way west. Decided to give it a try. There were 2 men working on site, one who took our money. He was very knowledgable and friendly, but unfortunately there was not a great deal of interest if you were not into mechanical structures.

We were looking for an attraction close to where we were staying. Something that would fill a one to two hour slot. This place was ideal. Steeped in local history, very welcoming and picturesque. We were greeted and shown around. It was an interesting visit. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Suitable for young and old.

Local history re: water mill (which hubby loved). Still needs a lot of working doing on it and think it will take some time. There are plenty of ponds but did not see any wildlife, hopefully next visit. Parking limited so get there early. Staff friendly and informative.

Path Head Water Mill is worth a visit for many different reasons. For the historically minded it is a fascinating insight into the past. For the technologically minded it is expanding to show how water power it links between the past and our future energy provision. For the nature lover it is set in beautiful grounds and for the artist... More

My grandson and I (age diffference 65yrs)went for a day out together to this tranquil, industrial revival site. There was plenty to see and do even though at first sight the area was small (which suited granny!). There were flowers, rivers, industrial equipment, outdoor games, historical items of interest. It was a great day of learning experiences mixed with play fun... More

Found this attraction on - line by accident. The working water mill is very interesting in itself but supplemented by additional features in the grounds that make for an interesting treasure hunt for the kids. Our 2 especially liked the map of the UK grown in grass and the hopscotch paving. We were there around 2 hours and saw everything.... More

This is an attraction that was pretty much on the doorstep, but somewhere we just never got round to visiting. We eventually decided to visit on a sunny afternoon, and I am glad that we did! After a leisurely walk to Path Head, we were pleasantly surprise by the size and also how well hidden it appeared to be. There... More

Sad to say we'd driven past the sign to Path Head Water Mill many times without actually bothering to visit. Luckily this weekend we put an end to that and are very glad that we did. Trevor is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide and was happy to answer any questions that we had and to generally make us feel... More

I've lived about 3 mile away from the mill having seen the sign many times going past. I eventually went to find this beautiful mill that I wasnt expecting at all. You can get to go inside and see the workings; there is also a large scale map of the UK in the grass; and several types of machinery showing... More

Very interesting site with some unusual items to see, not just a restored water mill. Well worth a visit if you are in the area and want to chill out for an hour or two.
