Incredible use of this industrial building

We enjoyed both looking at how this old industrial building had been re-modelled as well as the modern art exhibits within it. There are also some excellent vantage points to... read more

Another surprise find on my recent trip to Newcastle that I feel would have been more appreciated had I not been hungover! With that said, I very much enjoyed the Holly Hendry and Monica Bonvinici exhibitions and the viewing platform gave stunning views of Newcastle, whilst blowing away the cobwebs. The shop was amazing with a wide range of stock... More

As someone who is from Newcastle I was completely ashamed by what I saw in a recent visit to the Baltic. The exhibits were in no way inspiring but pathetic and a somewhat disturbing waste of half an hour of my life. I wish I could in this instance be proud of my city and my country but with so... More

We enjoyed both looking at how this old industrial building had been re-modelled as well as the modern art exhibits within it. There are also some excellent vantage points to watch over the Tyne and around Newcastle. This is a must see location.

I love anything to do with art. The building is fantastic so cool! Lovely view from the top, the shop is just so cool specially the prints. But I would like to see more paintings.

We were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to have a guided tour of the Monica Bonavicina exhibition on the fourth floor. Our guide was extremely engaging and very knowledgeable. It was the best way to view the work. Monica Bonavincina challenges you to think. The building is worth coming to see alone. There... More

Lovely art gallery, not always good for kids..after checking out the art realised it was to do with S&M. Grand daughter asking me to explain the art ha ha. There is a floor for kids..but not a lot for them to do...Could do with being a little more kid friendly.

I knew that I might not like or appreciate all the exhibits as I am not a particular fan of modern art, but even so I found myself slightly disappointed. There weren't a huge number of pieces on display and so we were able to see everything in a short space of time, and we left feeling slightly bemused. Still,... More

Your typical modern contemporary "art". One really interesting piece for every fifteen garbage pieces. Couldn't afford anything in the gift shop even on sale lol 😜got a lot of side eye from employees because I had my young children along. *shrug* not a waste of time, especially if you dig contemporary, but not on my top five list.
