Thank you for your positive review. You are right. The museum is largely run by volunteers with a part time manager and a part time curator. Positive reviews like yours help to make it all worthwhile for both paid and volunteer staff. I also like...More

We're sorry you were unable to visit the museum with your dog. However, this is not an unusual policy. We have a legal obligation to admit assistance dogs but do not admit pet dogs. We do have a dog bowl outside and you might have...More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm sorry you were disappointed with your visit to Grantown Museum. I assume your visit was recent, in which case the 'Art Exhibition' you refer to was the exhibition of paintings by Richard Waitt. These...More

A lovely small, free museum. Gives you a bit of history of the town, and the early inhabitants. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable.

Many thanks for your positive review. This is the sort of things our volunteers appreciate. However, I must point out that there is an entry fee of £4 per adult, although children under 16 do not pay.

We were greeted by friendly hosts who introduced us to the museum. Essentially a few rooms with display about the history of the town. We were also able to view a temporary exhibit of paintings which was nice. Inexpensive and only takes an hour
