Walked there today in the freezing rain from the seafront with my three children in tow only to find it closed contrary to the opening dates/times on the website. Extremely disappointed.

Privately run museum with all you need to know about Nelson. Staff very helpful and informative, Interesting artifacts.

Very interesting & showing a lot of maps, costumes & paintings. Time well spent learning about the history of this great man.

We had spent time over the weekend at the maratime event on the harbour. The museum was very interesting and there were a good selection of artifacts and knowledge of staff we met . Worthvthec £1.00 entrance fee.
