The displays are between one and another. There is a big gift shop and you have to go up lots of stairs to get to the galleries.

We used to visit the Dean Clough galleries on a regular basis but haven't been for quite a while, it used to be a vibrant art centre, with some challenging and intriguing art, now it is tired and "old hat"! We arrived today (31st) and were surprised to see that ALL the exhibitions finished on the 30th of August, so... More

Once the premises of the largest carpet factory in the world! Dean Clough now houses an eclectic assembly of installations, including: restaurants, art exhibitions, cookery school, hotel, theatre and the premises of a number of companies. It is truly wonderful that this amazing complex of former West Yorkshire manufacturing has been saved from modern developers (Salts Mill is perhaps the... More

We travelled for a friend's wedding, Dean Clough is well signed but there are several venues within it which can be a bit trickier to find. Head for the car park towards the Travelodge for The Arches. Parking was £4, free after 6pm and you can leave your car overnight. It was a mill, so hard stone floors, high ceilings,... More

I visited the mill complex for the first time on Friday evening to attend my friends evening wedding celebration at The Arches. It is a lovely venue and was beautifully decorated for the occasion with twinkling lights and then lovely fresh flowers and candles in lanterns on the tables. The bar staff were very attentive and on the ball. Noticed... More

Wow this was a superb way to spend an afternoon, take you camera and imaging what it sued to be like as a working mill. The renovated Mill is now home to some fabulous cafe's bars and restaurants. There is also a Jack Wills factory out let shop. Mainly though the architecture, history and the effect these mills had on... More

Visited to see the Leeds Fine Artists Exhibition in the Crossley Gallery which is situated at the main reception.Very helpful on reception. The gallery was an excellent size and well lit. Also tried out The Viaduct Cafe which is accessed down some stairs opposite the reception or from outside also down some steps. Had a feta cheese and sun dried... More

I visited Dean Clough Mills Sunday 1st May for their Board Game Day, which they are hoping to repeat again next year. Back to childhood, using 'proper' board games, made OF board. None of you digital stuff; the real thing here. I was partnered by Vic Allen (the Art Director) and his lovely wife D as we played King of... More

Gorgeous mill building. It's mostly offices but does house a few brilliant restaurants and bars. Also has a gallery and small theatre.

A converted mill which has offices in it but more importantly is a really good arts centre. Situated on 3 levels there are photo exhibitions, paintings and other works, most with a local theme attached to it. The displays are always changing so check on their website to find out what is current. It is free to go in and... More
