WE walked at the park end of the trail with our dogs and have done several times when staying at the Travelodge out by the motorway. It is a beautiful place to walk, safe and has excellent parking with clean loos. The council keep it very clean and tidy and there is a wonderful activity park for the children.

Highly recommended.

Get rid of the cyclists or limit them to certain times of the day. A lovely area to walk in with some gorgeous scenery but spoiled by ignorant cyclists who expect walkers to move aside every two minutes to let them past. The path is narrow & anyone walking with dogs or children are put at risk by arrogant cyclists who think they own the path (not all of course but a good proportion). On the road cyclists have right of way because they are deemed more vulnerable than people in cars. Well, on paths used as walking routes the walkers are more vulnerable than those on a cycle. They should be made to stop & wait on walkers/dogs passing. Whoever, is responsible for the area should have a long hard look at how cyclists ruin the enjoyment for others.

This place is great for cycling. We do not think any hiking is that enjoyable compared to other places in Scotland.

We did a round the loch walk today 20 km or so. The walk from the visitor centre car park to the sluice cut and river is really good, it’s varied with lots of diversity of trail experience and landscape. The next stage walk from the sluice back to the nature trail however is not nearly as good. The trails are unnaturally straight, often fenced in with little diversity of vegetation or relief from the compacted stone track. It is great that there is a round loch walk now and it is well maintained with some light moments of art and bird hides but we all agreed we couldn’t wait to get that bit over with. The best of the walk is the north and east even if it means returning on the way you came.

I took a walk from Kinross to the Loch Leven Larder. Beautiful scenery. Good access, well maintained paths on this section. A bicycle looks a good option for the whole route (about 21km). Take some binoculars for the wildfoul.

Parked at the National Nature Reserve car park (at the pier) with lots of spaces, for a cycle around the loch. Toilets also there to go before you leave! Was around 13 miles long. Lots of things to see, a fairy trail, wee beaches and a bit to stop off with a shop and cafe.

Having visited Loch Leven on many occasions, we this time stumbled upon the signs for the Grey Mare's Tail falls on Loch Leven. Parked in the public car park and the falls were sign posted and only about 500 metres from the falls themselves. The walk was not hard at all, infact a pleasurable walk on a well constructed footpath. The climb up was not hard either and soon you can hear the water cascading and it is not long after that you get your first glimpse of the falls from a distance, but if you continue along the path, what meets you is quite spectacular. You can get about 50 yards away from the falls with plenty of photo opportunities and for the brave amongst you there are 3 planks that you can walk across getting you closer even to the falls. For the very brave and the well equipped a wire has been attached to the walls which you can hook up to and get even closer to the cascading water in front of you. (Not for the faint hearted, or children). Got some great photos on a lovely sunny day, and a true hidden little gemstone.

We parked in the Burleigh car park and set off for what we hoped would be a good lakeside stroll but it was not special and we would not commend it to friends

Great for a cycle round, some places are a bit narrow when trying to get past oncoming cyclists, but mostly a great ride round. The paths are very well maintained, Saw lots of volunteers out pruning back shrubs and at some parts the grass had been recently cut along the sides of the path.
