Super path following the route of an old railway line from Ashby to Derby. Closed in 1982. Quite a few people out walking and riding on Boxing Day. We started from just outside Wilson where there is a path down to the trail

We started the ride at Osgathorpe on NCN 6, the quarry at Worthington is a high light due to scale of the hole in the ground, pity it is not easy to see. The Cloud trail was only OK, Swarkestone and the canal are interesting....More

Nice cycle ride, great surfaces to cycle on even on a cold wet day. Quite varied scenery and very flat. Well signed and free parking in Worthington where we started - perfect.

As you cross over the motorway bridge over the A42, take the first turn on the left. Drive 400m and the car park is there
