Lovely church with a graveyard that has a great view. Worth a visit if stopping in Ross on Wye. Have a wander around the graves as there are some interesting ones

We were looking up on TripAdvisor things to do in Ross so thought we would take a look. Sadly, on a Wednesday it was shut so we had a look around prospect gardens instead.

We like to light candles to remember and they didn't have any here. However nothing wrong with this although it's all a bit ordinary.

Local church - nice stained glass windows - think partly C12th but not absolutely sure. Personally I am not a fan of the "new" cafe style arrangements in this beautiful old church. But I am sure there will be many others who disagree with me.

Beautiful church that welcomes all - ask anyone about Our Lady of Capel-y-ffyn at this church. Welcomed lovely to see the leadlight windows, architecture, organ and choir sing.

This large building occupies a prominent site in the town. Inside, the walls have been scraped and the floor has been tiled, although due to there being so many coloured windows it is a little dark. Tall columns divide the interior into four distinct parts...More

We decided to follow a town walk downloaded from the internet, which was a great way to visit the town. The walk included this lovely church, which had magnificent views of the River Wye from the churchyard. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit, there...More

If church architecture is your thing, don't miss a visit to St Mary's. A free leaflet is available to guide visitors' around the church and information panels are also located around the building.
