Just got back from a A short four day trip to Wallingford, went to visit this very peaceful and scenic side of the castle grounds and remains. The place must’ve been wonderful when it was in its heyday. Well worth a visit

Had a lovely walk round the castle and keep, gardens are beautiful and free to enter. Has a fabulous view point at the top across the little bridge. Definitely worth a look round.

There is not much left in terms of building but cross the drawbridge and after a little climb up a narrow path there is a great view of the surrounding countryside
