This museum is basically a period house which is beautifully kept as well as having rooms for historical information or physical interaction for adults as well as children. You will only really need a maximum of half hour to walk around the actual house, but as it is free, good value!. ( however donations are welcomed ). A small selection... More

Free to visit with easy parking. As we waited for the house to open we enjoyed a very good full breakfast at the tea room, walked around the small gardens, and visited the on-site antiques shop (all very nice). The house is on the small side, but it is of great appeal to lovers of the Arts & Crafts movement.... More

We drive over then the house doesn't open until 12pm. Very disappointed!! Then they closed the little shop

The House is relatively small but is really well maintained and interesting. The staff make children very welcome and my 8 year old loved playing with the vintage games in the nursery.We both enjoyed dressing up in the period costumes and doing some colouring in. This was an amazing day out with my Partner and our children our son has Autism and staff where great and non judgmental also ( sadly rare ) I definitely recommend the dress up hehe xx

The house is not that big, but you can get into the mood of the period. Beautiful gardens, nice cafe and amazing antique shop.

A beautiful house full of many interesting local exhibits and history of local industries. many hands on activities for children. a beautiful park to wander round and a superb cafe with yummy food.

Visited Bantock house & grounds many times. It has a great playground for younger children, the grounds are brilliant for walks, there is a lovely rose garden. The house contains the museum which is very informative, there is a children's room and also an antique shop which has some lovely items in. There are the tea rooms. There are also... More

Went there with my daughter they had some kind of fair on it was a great day out we went round the house and all over the park there where stalls selling things and crafts going on really enjoyed it
