The Ashford WWI tank is a rare surviving Mk IV Female tank that served in the First World War. It is a poignant memorial to the tank crews of WWI that served and died in these pioneers of armoured warfare which helped end 'The Great...More

Lovely little cafe, very friendly staff and the meals are well cooked. Just off from the main high street, excellent if you just want a coffee and a sandwich.

Where else could you walk through a town centre and find a perfectly restored example of one of the early tanks? Ashford in Kent has one, there in all its glory. It's a wonderful tribute to the men who fought in the first World War

You can view this tank free of charge as it is in the town centre, a great reminder of the lives given in the first world war

A WW1 tank in a city centre - is it worth to see? Yes, the pure size is amazing and great for the brave kids to climb upon.

A surprise to be found in the town centre of Ashford and is probably the only attraction the town centre has with its poor selection of shops and empty stores. This is a well preserved and presented WW1 piece of history but could do with...More
