Usually the gardens and buildings are great and well worth a visit especially if there is a fayre or market on,but the repairs are taking so long and the restaurants ,cafes and railway closed most days, the encouragement is missing, The gardens and lakes are still worth the walk.

The gardens are beautifully kept. There are play areas for all ages and short train ride for £1 per person. The cafe is clean and serves lovely scones!

A beautiful garden area suitable for all ages. There is a play area in the Buxton park for kids, cafe/bar, tourist information centre, toilets and plenty of pay and display parking spaces. Not suitable for a rainy day.

Not over impressed with the centre of the town but we were very happy to come across the Pavilion Gardens a short stroll away. Really pleasant on a chilly February afternoon so it must be really popular on a summer's day. Lovely walks, lakes,... More

This beautifully maintained park is an oasis of peace and green in the middle of the town. There are children's play areas and also lakes with wildfowl.

The Pavilion Gardens are looking a little tired but one can imagine that I their heyday they would have been a delight for visitors and residents alike.

We made a short visit here and there is much more to see. Very nice park even in dull weather and there are good play areas for younger children. A very pleasant visit.
