I took my daughter and her friend to see Axel Scheffler and what a great experiance it was - I even found myself reading the stories. Really well organised and he even stayed afterwards to sign all of the childrens books. We were at the back of the queue and waited for over an hour but was well worth it... More

The programming at this small but perfectly formed theatre is excellent, I would go to any theatre performance that they advertise without reading reviews as I have never been disappointed by the quality. You can often see shows in the early stages of development as well as talks and music by world famous artists. I just wish there were more... More

The Quarterhouse was a pleasant surprise. I have seen the Divine Comedy play live lots of times and this was one of the best concerts I have been to. It is a small venue (I think it holds 450 standing) but there was plenty of atmosphere and an easily accessible bar once the band were on.

The exterior is modern, and the tickets were very well priced. The beer was expensive. The 'theatre' is small and they'd added extra seats at the front to accommodate more people. They weren't the most comfortable seats. However, the show was brilliant and for the price of the tickets it was a great night out. We'd go back to see... More

The Quarterhouse is part of folkestone's Cultural Quarter, an arts venue which has a range of shows and events in its annual programme. I think it gets most things right and it's good to see a venue which adds to the more musical offerings of the Leas Cliff Hall. Booking via the website is easy. The box office at the... More

Fantastic evening of laughter. Warm up guy, Carl was great as was Chris' main set. As usual the Quarterhouse is a fab venue for all. Nice and small and for us locals a dream of a venue to visit as it is local. My only concern will be when Tontine Street becomes two way for traffic. No on street parking... More

The auditorium has brilliant acoustics. The entrance is warm and inviting, staff informed and friendly. We had some lunch after the talk--excellent brie baguettes on fresh bread, with lovely cranberry and a bit of salad; just right. The place is light and airy, perfect place to meet other people and strike up conversation.

Might my evenings at this delightful and inspired theatre project,be at an end ? Indeed for everybody ! Be warned that work has started in making the road in front,,already narrow, into a two way Traffic road....no Parking at any time and access,I suspect,in an already difficult place, only on foot. Just what the mainly elderly theatre goer needs WELL DONE TOWN... More
