We were making a brief visit to Folkestone and walked through the harbour area to Sunny Sands. It looked clean and the sand was uncluttered. The best beach of its type in the immediate vicinity.

Spent a very pleasant morning on the sands. The sands are very safe and the sea was very calm and good for little ones. The only drawback is the total lack of shops providing beach necessities. I had to walk to Debenhams to buy costumes...More

After a year of maintenance work being carried out the sunny sands is finally open for business. The arches have been repaired and the sand is back to is former glory. Great place for a walk or for a day on the beach.

Really nice beach, not far from London. You can take a train it takes around 55min price can be cheap as £22 if you buy online (one way). Just pay attention to the tides. If is low tide you can enjoy the sand if not...More

Great beach, great for families of all ages, lovely sand. Water activities at certain times in the summer. Fish and chips, Ice creams, coffee and tea and alcohol choices right there.

its a lovely beach, great place to relax. we went with our friends and did barbecue. dogs are allowed and my dog loved the sandy beach. the beach is clean and had many families with their dogs. we also did collect the colourful glass stones
