We had a lovely walk on a breezy day . We were being blasted by the sand but loved it. This is a lovely sandy beach . Around the harbour arm it is all stones ! The coronation parade is being repaired at the moment after damage from a storm so there is no access from the East cliff for... More

Have visited a number of times this year when the weather was good. It was very clean and the water quality was good. Works currently being carried out to the arches and when this is completed it will be better.

Beautiful weather when we visited and we wanted to relax on the beach. No chance. Towel to towel with kids everywhere and some dodgy folks. Garbage washing up in the water. No thanks. We passed.

Though being a small sized beach, has been kept clean and clutter free. Not very much developed as compared to other beaches but good to spend peaceful time in the sun !!!! ......our bad luck , went on a day when there was construction work going on and the noise gave us disappointment!!!!!

The Sunny Sands beach is ok just. There hasn't been much improvement to the immediate area for a long time & it needs it. This beach can get very very crowded during the summer, keep an eye on your little ones as it is easy for them to wander off getting lost. There is also a strong pull on the... More

As the name implies, this is a nice little sandy beach. It seemed very popular with families when we visited and so it was very crowded, but it's so nice to feel the sand between your toes. I think there were some other beaches nearby that were supposed to be less crowded that I'd probably check out next time.
