We were in Folkestone the night the Christmas lights were switched on so the atmosphere was lovely. Live bands, music and very busy. The old cobbled streets and cafes quaint shops and restaurants. What a quaint part of town.

This is a good reason to visit Folkestone. It's growing fast, and confirming the town's creative pedigree. This triangle offers many rewards for creative explorers.

So many different shops, cafes and interesting art-related people and locations. Fascinating activities every day. And the Steep Street cafe is a gem...eating and drinking surrounded by books and interesting people. The only weakness is that many shops have limited opening times.

This is a good initiative. There are some good little businesses and cafes, but it all seems to be not quite fulfilling its potential. Note all the businesses are open. It is very dead evening, and even at the weekend many of the units are...More
