What a beautiful railway station. It’s like walking into yesteryear. It’s lovely to see the steam engine and carriages sat there awaiting its passengers.

Really enjoyed the 1940 event thus weekend. Watchet was fun with lots to see and do. Loved the freight train with army vehicles British and American forces. Village was full of reenactment.

If you get the train from Blue Anchor instead of Minehead or Bishops Lydeard etc., you can park on the road on the seafront for free. Alternatively, do what we did and stay overnight at the camp site - Hoburne Blue Anchor... More

Sorry I didn't get off there, we went in the opposite direction. However, we are heading back to Somerset in a few weeks and may go that. Maybe update you then? :)
