Proper pub with home cooked food. In a world of "gastro" pubs it is sometimes nice to find places like this. I had a pork Sunday lunch and there was ample meat, roast potatoes , a bit of crackling, Yorkshire pudding, apple sauce and stuffing...More

This is my local pub and I keep popping in every now and then. Well, mostly Thursdays - they do a bingo. The pub has nice selection of beers and most importantly food is great. The portions are much bigger compared to others in Newbury....More

Food is very traditional pub food good quality and price , happy to see motorcyclist and dogs, bike group meets there Tuesday eves , very busy on Race days.

Well worth a visit. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and customers. Food is good value, tasty and large portion sizes.

Nice selection of ales, good selection of food and food excellent. Been here a few times this year and always a warm welcome .
