Situated between Scarborough and Whitby in the North York Moors National Park, Pesky Husky is a unique experience for any visitor. A family-run business with over 30 years of experience of the breed, Pesky Husky was set up in 2007, when our aims were to provide a centre where people could learn about the amazing qualities of the oldest breed on the planet, and how they are simply like no other dog. We also aim to provide a loving home for our dogs throughout their whole lives (having rescued about a third of our pack from unsuitable homes), by giving them the opportunity to do what Huskies are supposed to do- run! With 30 sled dogs for you to meet, we provide a range of exciting experiences, including Husky Trekking; a sport which gives you the opportunity to drive your own team of dogs on a two wheeled scooter around our purpose built trekking course, with its two exciting down-hills. For those who want a more relaxed session we can tailor your session to suit your individual abilities.Pesky Husky also offers Husky Hiking all year round; a walk with the dogs through the open countryside, using specialist belts and equipment specifically designed for sled dogs. A fun and unique activity, this is perfect for families with children, walking groups, or anyone who wants to meet and spend some quality time with these amazing animals! We also offer combined sessions of Trekking and hiking for the complete Husky experience. These activities all include a full kennel visit, instruction, and equipment, and are available all year round, 7 days a week. We also do various other activities- from children’s parties to kennel visits, meaning there really is something for everybody! Prices start at £15 and we can provide gift vouchers as well as bookings. Please ring for availability and details.

Firstly, I would like to say what an amazing host Debs & Mick were! They provided us with an amazing experience that all of us would never forget! The passion and love that they have for their huskies is truly inspiring! The kennel tour was great and very informative. Debs answered any questions that you had, and was very open... More

The hike was a recent birthday present from my daughter. I arrived and was greeted by the owner Debs. She gave me a guided tour of her kennels and introduced to all her gorgeous and very friendly huskies. Debs then fitted me with a canicross belt and attached it to one of the huskies I'd met. We set off on... More

Me and my boyfriend booked the hiking experience while we was on a camping holiday in Scarborough. Deb was great! Lovely to meet someone who cared so much about all her dogs, she was a great laugh and we really enjoyed it! My boyfriend hiked with Bear and I hiked with Sirius we loved it! Would recommend.

We went for a husky hike and kennel visit today. We had a great time, the dogs are awesome and the walk is beautiful. We had great weather, but the scenery is lovely so as long as you were dressed for it I don't think it would matter. We were glad we booked the hike, despite being initially disappointed there... This is the first time that I have ever written a review on any review site, but after experiencing such poor customer service ; I feel that other people need to be warned. My wife and myself had kindly been gifted with a voucher for a " full kennel visit and a trekking session" for our 30th wedding anniversary, from... More

My daughter is a huge fan of Husky dogs so I booked the treck and hike as a treat. I also wanted to enlighten her about the breed. Debbie the owner certainly knows the breed and her dogs are beautiful and very sociable. There were 5 of us in the group and even the eldest teen (who's not a massive... More
