Museum is run by a group of volunteers, does tell something of the history of Sidmouth, but not much else. Could be much better if it included a history of the events/attractions within the town. i.e. Donkey Sanctuary, Observatory etc.

The museum deserves support. It's free entry funded from donations and has some interesting exhibits. Allow 30 minutes to look round.

For a historian this is a delightful local museum with well displayed information. Helpful, friendly staff who are rightfully proud of their museum. Currently there is an excellent display about the Suffrage movement and the local connections.
