We visited a few days after Christmas and it seemed quite busy. It was lovely to see the well cared for and healthy donkeys in their lovely home. Interesting information stands are dotted around telling of the history of the sanctuary and the people who have supported it over the years. We would love to have supported them more buy... More

the family adopted two of the donkeys for a year as this attraction is family friendly and highly respected as a sanctuary for these beautiful beasts from their suffering across the world. Free entry relies on donations. Easy to find parking a cinch. Well laid out and signposted. Plenty to amuse everyone for a good couple of hours. Open every... More

The donkey sanctuary was a lovely day out. We were staying in Devon so the sanctuary was close by. It was great to learn about the work they do. Seeing the donkeys was lovely and hearing about how some of them had been treated throughout their lives was heartbreaking. This is a good day out for people of all ages.

I loved walking around the paddocks and watching the donkeys and being able to stroke them when they came up to the fence! It was free entry and we made a donation for all the hard work they do. Will be going again with the younger members of the family! x

The evening in the barn with candlelight and donkeys was quite special. There was a special atmosphere with the candle lights, singing and the brass band playing Christmas Carols. The shop served mulled wine and mince pies, too add to the festivities. This was a great event and we went back next day to see the donkeys and to buy... More

I have visited the donkey sanctuary twice now. I love all animals, but donkeys are one of my favourite! I visit many animal and wildlife sanctuaries and rescues but have never experienced any place as caring and kind as this. The donkeys all have lots of space as well as lovely clean stables and barns with heat lamps, all the... More

We regularly visit the donkey sanctuary when we are in the area. As it is a free entry but we always donate as it is a very worth while cause. There is a shop and a cafe on site
