The Radway opened in 1928 and was planned to operate primarily as a theatre. As a live theatre it quickly failed and was soon altered to better accommodate cinema use.Whilst the building enjoyed a very thorough refurbishment in 1999 care was taken to do this as sympathetically as possible in order to retain its early 30’s charm.Digital Projection, 3D and Sound was recently been added.

Friendly atmosphere Tables between seats upstairs allowing you to take coffee into the auditorium. Shows interesting range of films and shows from West End productions which are transmitted live into the cinema.

This is the 3rd time I've been to this cinema twice with my guide dog and once without which happened to be tonight as I thought he may get restless after being at work during the day already. The staff are friendly and helpful, they have the best audio description which has always worked compared to the cinemas in Milton... More

I had low expectations of a small provincial cinema but this one plays to it's strengths. Comfortable seats with ample legroom, little tables in the balcony for drinks, friendly staff, clean auditorium and public areas and last, but most importantly for a cinema, a good sized, clear screen with excellent sound Overall a far nicer experience than the soulless multiplexes... Very friendly and nice small cinema. One can have a coffee upstairs and sit and chat before the show. They usually have all the latest realises and one is asked if you enjoyed the show which is nice on leaving. Also have streaming presentations.

This lovely little cinema is now becoming a firm favourite of mine on every visit I have to Sidmouth. The outside of the building does not do justice to the inside décor and cleanliness that is maintained by helpful and welcoming staff. The upstairs seats are comfortable and have some tables that are great for your hot and cold drinks... More

This place is such good value, with a personal touch. It may be old fashioned, but that's what makes it so lovely. With only 1 screen, so much more relaxing than multiplex cinemas. The management is pro-active and very lovely. All staff attentive. The place is well kept, definitely worth a visit
