Took our grandson for lunch - had the £3.95 salad bowl and a sandwich, the salad was ok , sandwich nice and fresh - service very friendly. Nice little corner for the kids to amuse themselves.

Group of 26 overseas students - wet day - fabulous time! We started in the basement with the Romans, dressing up, using the hands on interactive exhibits, viewing the wide range of cased items and having fun learning! Up to the first floor and shrieks of "Harry Potter" as they spotted the train carriages, more dressing up and interactive learning.... More

Haven't been for a while but the standard was still as good. Lovely soup, great service and we shared a bit of cake with our tea. Yummy.

An eclectic mix of exhibits with lots of information about the local areas including the Romans and Hadrian's Wall and "The Carlisle Control Board" which ran most of the city's pubs and breweries until the mid 70s. Nice Art Gallery in the old Tullie House.

Wonderful fully engrossing historical experience. The well thought out exhibits and friendly, informative staff made this visit very enjoyable, there was something for everyone and even the normally non-plussed adults dressed up in the Roman exhibition for a bit of fun, a great experience, lots of ways of explaining the history of Carlisle and area, loved the Roman worms eye...
